Det är den amerikanska bloggen Deadspin som skriver om handbollen i OS och som inleder:
”The United States has never won an Olympic handball medal, and neither the men’s or women’s team has even qualified since 1996, which means that NBC probably won’t cover the sport much over the next three weeks. This is a shame, because handball is the shit.”
Kommentarerna, från mestadels amerikaner, visar också att sporten faktiskt har potential i USA. Trots många misslyckade försök tidigare:

The wrestling coach at my high school ran an unofficial handball game each week. It’s a brutally physical game, or at least that’s how we played it.
This is a sport I need to learn more about, like Rugby and Australian Rules Football.
