IHF har stöttat den lilla handbollsnationen Gambia med 300 nya handbollar.
Handbollen är en ganska enkel idrott där det egentligen bara krävs en spelplan, en boll och kanske ett par vettiga skor. Idrotter som ishockey, innebandy, simning och ridsport har liksom större utmaningar.
Det kan därför vara relativt enkelt att hjälpa någon annan i handbollsfamiljen. Med små medel kommer man ganska långt.
Nu har IHF stöttat Gambias handbollsförbund med 300 nya handbollar. Gambia Handball Association skriver på sin Facebook-sida:
”The general public is here inform that The Gambia Handball Association has received a donation of 300 handballs like the few others attached from the International Handball Federation (IHF).
Many thanks to IHF President Dr Hassan Moustafa and his ministry and of cause to the National Sports Council Gambia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their great supports.
It would have coast the Gambia Handball Association many hundreds of dalasis to get hold on the items but being there for the benefit of associations running sports in the country the above mentioned parties played a significant role for facilitating the clearance for the balls at the airport.
Together for the interest of sports development in the Gambia, we can make different.”
