Det har varit en tuff start på seriespelet i Uganda där flera av lagen har svårt att få ihop lag.
I helgen var 4 matcher, 2 herr och 2 dam, planerade att spelas. Tyvärr blev det bara 1 match då övriga matcher ställdes in då lagen inte fick ihop spelare:

Klubbarna förklarar det med att spelarna just nu är på FEASSA, Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Championship. Det arrangerades i Rwanda och spelarna var helt enkelt inte på plats i Uganda för att kunna delta.
Fred Barenzi som är tävlingsansvarig på Ugandas handbollsförbund är inte imponerad:
”We shall not entertain any excuse outside the rules. Clubs should read the regulations because we gave them these rules.
We are going to award walkovers for all those games that were not played because there is no genuine reason for not honouring the fixture.
Clubs are saying that they didn’t honour the fixtures because most of their players are in the FEASSA games, but to me we are not playing school games but a club league.
We can only excuse a team when their players are on the national handball team, but not schools and any team that didn’t honour a fixture will forfeit points.”
