Den förre handbollsdomaren Christer Ahl skräder inte med orden i en intervju med den engelska tidningen Telegraph.
Christer Ahl är en rutinerad handbollsdomare från Göteborg som även varit engagerad 32 år i Internationella Handbollsförbundet. Han har väldigt god insyn i IHF och till Telegraph kommenterar han Qatars lagbygge i OS:
”Qatar are creating a fake team.
They are putting together players with no apparent connection to the country and are kicked out if they don’t contribute to a medal or other success. They become some sort of all-star team.”
IHF-presidenten Hassan Moustafa får sig också en känga:
”He is not just a president, he is totally despotic, autocratic president and […] he doles out ‘breadcrumbs’ to all these minor countries.
Of the 200 member countries, half basically don’t play handball.
He has orchestrated a situation where he has convinced little countries to create, on paper, a handball federation and then are in deep gratitude to him.”
