Sydkoreas coach Lim Young-chul har inga större förväntningar på sitt eget lag inför OS 2016 i Rio de Janeiro.
Sydkoreas damlandslag har gått till semifinal i 8 raka OS-turneringar, ett grymt bra facit. Men inför OS 2016 har de dels skadeproblem, dels tuffare med återväxten. Förbundskaptenen Lim Young-chul säger till Yonhap News:
”I don’t know why people would take any interest in this team, because no one’s picking us to win a medal this year.
But we just have to go out there and do our best. What else can we do?
Avoiding injuries is the biggest key this close to the Olympics. During drills and intrasquad games, I make sure to give the players plenty of breaks. If I push them too hard, they may get hurt. Going hard from start to finish won’t be the answer, and we have to pace ourselves.”
