Kiels mittnia Domagoj Duvnjak är avstängd i mötet med ungerska Veszprém.
Det var i helgens match mot Celje som Domagoj Duvnjak drog på sig ett rött kort i slutminuten. Det har inneburit rapport till EHF som nu säger följande:
”The EHF Court of Handball finds in substance that the foul was intentional, aggressive and committed solely with the intention to annihilate any chance to score in favour of the opposing team in a crucial and decisive moment of the match.
Hence, Domagoj Duvnjak is suspended for one match and is consequently not entitled to play the VELUX EHF Champions League Group Phase match: THW Kiel (GER) vs. MVM Veszprém (HUN) taking place on 6 December 2015.
An appeal may be filed with the EHF Court of Appeal within 7 days but shall not have any suspensive effect according to the aforementioned decision.”
Ett tungt avbräck för Kiel som redan nu går tungt på relativt få spelare på niometer. Duvnjak är Kiels tredje bäste målskytt i Champions League med 38 mål bakom Joan Cañellas (41 mål) och Rune Dahmke (39 mål).
